September was a big month of competitions. It began with a weekend in Euroa at the Jumping Classic. This was a lovely show with very well presented arenas and great going. Prydes Sponsored the Grand Prix on Sunday which was the feature event. Animate had just an unlucky rail to finish in 7th placing. Earlier in the day Cavalli Park Annibell placed 2nd in the C&D grade Championship. Paul also took Faltango to her first show for the Delaney family. She jumped really well all weekend along with Beck’s two horses. Beck ended up placing in both 1.05m classes.
The next week we headed off to Adelaide Royal. We took Animate for Part 1 and Annibell for Part 3. We also took two students Jamie Ellis and Natasha Dickson with us for the Junior section. We had a wonderful week with all the horses jumping well and many great nights out with both Jamie and Tash’s families joining us in Adelaide. Animate placed in every class with two 2nds and a 5th in Part 1, 2nd in the Grand Prix and 5th in the World Cup. Annibell also exceeded all expectations as this was her first Royal Show. She had a win and a 4th and Part 3. Jamie placed 1st in the Junior AM5 and 4th in the Junior A2 with Tash placing 2nd in the Junior Grand Prix.
Then it was the Australian Championships which was held at Werribee Park. This was an amazing event with beautiful big arenas surrounded by trade and food stands. Animate jumped well in the Senior titles and was selected in the Victorian Team which placed 3rd. Annibell also jumped well placing 6th in the Silver Qualifier. Our working pupil Beck had a great show with Flowervale Matty jumping consistently well in the Bronze Series and Blackall Park Bellarina placed 1st and 3rd in the 1.04m classes.
