Melbourne Royal saw the start to October. We took the same team as at Adelaide Royal, Animate, Cavalli Park Annibell and Natasha and Jamie for the Junior’s. Again everyone jumped well. Animate was 3rd in the Prince of Whales Cup with just one time fault keeping him out of the jump off and also placed 7th in the World Cup. Annibell placed 3rd in the invitational speed class and 5th in Part 3 AM5. Jamie rode well just out of the placings and Tash finished in the line up several times.
We were then off to NVSJC for their Spring Show. This was one of Cavalli Park Amigo’s first shows (by Animate). He has a lovely temperament and took it all in his stride placing 4th in the 95cm. On Sunday the Delaney Families lovely Contango II mare Faltango placed 3rd in the 1m class and Havelock Batman jumped super as this was only his second show back returning from injury. He placed 2nd in the C&D grade and 4th in the B&C grade Championships.
We were very excited to have our first foal born at Cavalli Park arrive on the 15th of October. She is out of a lovely thoroughbred mare Grace the Coman family campaigned and bred with and have now loaned to us. She is of course by Animate! She arrived at 11pm and was up and about healthy and happy within an hour.
Paul also attended the National Squad Clinic held by Rod Brown at Werribee Park on the 31st. Annibell was great and they found the clinic very beneficial, it is always wonderful to have an opportunity to train with Rod.
